Produkterna har i regel flera funktioner som gör att det finns möjlighet att använda samma produkt till flera olika tillämpningar, vilket passar bra för en fälttekniker. Finns i utförande med kombinerade portar för både fiber och koppar, inline eller span, aggregering eller icke aggregering.  Flertalet har sin strömförsörjning via en USB-port, och har även PoE funktion.

    Dualcomm´s patent pending 10/100Base-T Network Tap (DCSW-1005) is a portable hardware device for capturing bi-directional inline traffic of an Ethernet link segment. It is usually used for network intrusion detection systems, VoIP recording, network probes for monitoring and trouble-shooting, and etc. The DCSW-1005 network tap is designed to be conveniently powered by a USB port so that an otherwise heavy and bulky AC/DC power adapter becomes not necessary!

    Similar to DCSW-1005, DCSW-1005PT (8X-0114) further implements PoE inline power pass-through between two inline ports, which allows it to be placed inline between a PSE such as an PoE Ethernet switch and PoE powered device such as an IP phone or access point without blocking the POE inline power from the PSE to reach the PoE powered device.

    DCSW-1005 and DCSW-1005PT can also function as a 5-port 10/100Base-T fast Ethernet Switch.

    Dualcomm ETAP-H51/H52 is an industrial 100mbps fiber-to-copper network regeneration Tap with three 100Base-T copper monitor ports. It is designed for use in hash industrial environment.

    The two inline ports are 100Base-FX fiber ports, each of three 100Base-T copper monitor ports outputs a copy of the fiber inline traffic in both directions.

    Model ETAP-H51 is for use with multi-mode fiber links and model ETAP-H52 is for use with single-mode fiber links. 5-Port 10/100/1000Base-T Gigabit Switch TAP

    Dualcomm patent pending 5-Port 10/100/1000Base-T Gigabit Switch TAP (DCGS-2005/DCGS-2005L) can be used as both a 5-Port 10/100/1000base-T gigabit Ethernet switch and a gigabit copper network TAP (Test Access Point). It offers several unique features that differentiate it from other vendor´s products and solutions on the market.

    Power over Ethernet Inline Power Pass-Through

    ETAP-2003/DCGS-2005/DCGS-2005L is implemented with a set of two ports to facilitate the pass-through of Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) inline power between these two ports. This is a very useful feature that will allow a DCGS-2005/DCGS-2005L to be placed and connected in between a PoE switch and a PoE powered device such as a PoE enabled IP phone without blocking the PoE inline power from reaching the PoE powered device.

    The PoE Inline power pass-through also makes it possible to reuse a 10/100 IP phone in a "Gigabit to Desktop" connection. Otherwise, a more expensive IP phone with Gigabit ports has to be used to achieve end-to-end gigabit network connection. 

    Port-Mirroring

    DCGS-2005/DCGS-2005L offers a unique and low cost solution for capturing and monitoring network traffic by means of Port-Mirroring. Port-Mirroring used to be a feature found only in much more expensive managed switches requiring manual port configuration, but DCGS-2005/DCGS-2005L makes it plug and play and hassle free without going over your budget.

    USB Powered

    ETAP-2003/DCGS-2005/DCGS-2005L is designed to be conveniently powered by a USB port of a computer. To users, this means one less AC/DC power adapter to carry and one less AC outlet to hunt for!
